The North Haven High School Athletic Department is excited to announce the appointment of Jessica Neuweiler as the new head coach of North Haven girls’ basketball team.

Neuweiler has been coaching high school basketball for more than 10 years. Most recently, she was the head coach of the varsity girls’ basketball team at Plainville High School. In that position, Coach Neuweiler helped the program improve from a 3-17 record when she arrived to top-10 ranking in the Central Connecticut Conference in 2021.

Prior to coaching at Plainville, Neuweiler was the head coach of JV girls’ basketball at Sacred Heart Academy and consistently led her teams to winning seasons. Neuweiler was responsible for player development and led the strength and conditioning program.

“Coach Neuweiler has demonstrated she is able to develop basketball teams and bring them to the next level,” North Haven Athletic Director Steve Blumenthal said. “We look forward to Coach Neuweiler working with our student-athletes to help them reach their potential, both on and off the court.”

Neuweiler played Division II college basketball for Saint Michael’s College in the Northest-10 Conference. She also played AAU basketball for seven years in top Connecticut programs. Neuweiler was a three-time varsity captain at Sacred Heart Academy, where she was named to the All-Southern Connecticut Conference Quinnipiac Team and was also a Connecticut Tap-Off Club All-County Player.
