Law Places 5th in Long Jump at Nike Nationals

Senior captain Aidan Law represented Haddam-Killingworth when he competed in the long jump at the 2022 Nike Indoor Nationals last week. Law finished in fifth place for his long jump competition at the national meet, which was held at the Oceans Breeze Athletics Complex in Staten Island, New York from March 11 to 13.

Law recorded a leap of 21 feet-4 inches on his way to taking fifth place in the Emerging Elite portion of the long jump event at the Nike Indoor Nationals. Ben Smith of Knoxville, Tennessee finished first with a distance of 22 feet-4.25 inches.

Law had previously finished second in the long jump at the New England Championship by posting a distance of 21-9.5. Prior to that, Law took first place at the Shoreline Conference Championship (20-8.75), finished fourth in the Class S State Championship (20-8), and then won the long jump at the State Open Championship (21-3.25).
