03/04/2022 11:00 PMThe Hand boys’ basketball squad had two players earn recognition as members of the All-SCC Team for their performances during the winter season. Senior captain Tyler Favre and junior Hudson Geremia received All-SCC accolades on behalf of the Tigers this year.
Favre, a forward, made the All-SCC First Team on behalf of Hand, marking his second-straight All-Conference selection. Geremia, who plays guard, earned All-Conference honors for the first time by getting selected to the All-SCC Second Team.
The Hand boys’ basketball team went 17-3 during the regular season and then won its first two games in the SCC Tournament to advance to the semifinal round. The Tigers went on to claim the program’s first state title by earning a 55-39 victory versus Kolbe Cathedral in the championship game of the Division III State Tournament at Mohegan Sun Arena on March 19, finishing the year with an overall mark of 23-4.
