Westbrook Boys’ Hoops Defeats H-K; Hockey Squad Drops a Couple of Contests

Boys’ Basketball

The Westbrook boys’ basketball team split a pair of matchups last week to put its record at 4-5 on the year.

In its first game of the week, Westbrook took a 68-42 road loss against East Hampton on Jan. 18. Three days later, the Knights hosted Haddam-Killingworth and claimed a 61-45 victory versus the Cougars.

Boys’ Ice Hockey

The Southington-Coginchaug- Westbrook (S-C-W) co-op boys’ ice hockey squad lost two contests last week and is now 0-7 on the season.

On Jan. 19, S-C-W took a 4-1 road loss against Newtown-New Fairfield at Danbury Ice Arena. Two days later, the team faced New Milford on the road and took a 5-1 defeat at the Canterbury School.
