Guilford Boys’ Soccer Loses in Class L Semis

The Guilford boys’ soccer team saw its season come to a close when the Grizzlies took a loss to Wethersfield in the semifinals of the Class L State Tournament last week. Guilford finished with an overall record of 14-5-2 on the campaign.

On Nov. 17, 9th-seeded Guilford squared off against No. 12 seed Wethersfield in a Class L semifinal game at Naugatuck High School. The Grizzlies took a 1-0 defeat versus Wethersfield, which scored the lone goal of the game with 15 minutes left in the second half. Guilford had earned wins versus Rockville (3-0), Bristol Central (1-0), and Masuk (2-0) in the first three rounds of the tournament.
