Old Saybook Girls’ Soccer Gains Split; Boys’ Soccer Adds Another Win


Girls’ Soccer

The Old Saybrook girls’ soccer team played a pair of contests as part of last week’s action. The Rams ended up with a split on the pair. With these results, Old Saybrook’s record moved to 2-1 on the campaign.

On Sept. 14, the Rams hosted Haddam-Killingworth and dropped a 1-0 decision against the Cougars. Two days later, Old Saybrook headed to North Branford and secured a dominant 6-0 victory over the Thunderbirds.

Boys’ Soccer

The Old Saybrook boys’ soccer team played just one game last week and came away with a victory in the contest. The win moves the Rams’ record to 2-0 on the season and adds another victory to Head Coach Steve Waters’s historic tally, which is at 567 wins now.

On Sept. 13, the Rams headed to Higganum to battle Shoreline Conference rival Haddam-Killingworth. Old Saybrook picked up a narrow 2-1 victory against the Cougars.
