Valley Field Hockey Ties Westbrook; Soccer Squads Take Losses

Field Hockey

The Valley Regional field hockey squad had a pair of games on the slate last week and came away with a tie and a loss. With these results, the Warriors’ record moved to 2-4-2 on the season.

On Oct. 26, Valley had a contest at Westbrook and the Warriors tied the Knights in the 1-1 road matchup.

Senior captain Lauren Weigman scored Valley’s only goal of the game in the second quarter. Westbrook came back to tie the match in the fourth quarter. Sophomore Fallyn Belisle made seven saves in the tie.

On Oct. 31, the Warriors were in Clinton to battle Morgan. Valley ended up with a 3-1 road loss against the Huskies.

Junior Abby Amara had the Warriors’ lone goal in the loss and Fallyn Belisle made seven saves.

Girls’ Soccer

The Warriors had a pair of games on the schedule last week and took losses in both. After the results, Valley’s record fell to 3-3-2 on the year.

On Oct. 26, Valley hosted Cromwell and dropped a 4-1 home match against the Panthers. The next day, the Warriors traveled to Portland to battle the Highlanders and took a 4-1 loss in the road contest.

Boys’ Soccer

The Valley boys’ soccer team played just one game last week and took a loss in the contest. The defeat drops the Warriors’ record to 6-2 on the season.

On Oct. 27, Valley headed to Cromwell and took on the Panthers. The Warriors dropped the 1-0 road match against Cromwell.
