Westbrook Dance Academy Irish Step Students Place At Harvest Feis

On Sept. 26, four members of the Mulkerin School of Irish dance classes at Westbrook Dance Academy (WDA)—Avery Bragg of Clinton, Audrey Bragg of Clinton, Olivia Hartmann of Clinton, Neilly Erlandson of East Haddam—competed at the Rince Tuatha Nua Lee Harvest Feis held in Thompson. WDA’s dancers placed in every event while competing against dancers from participating schools throughout the New England, making for an exciting start to the academy’s Irish step competition season.

Audrey Bragg competed in the beginner U-10 division at the Harvest Feis, placing first in the light jig, third in the reel, fourth in the treble jig, and fourth in the slip jig. Hartmann competed in the intermediate U-14 division, where she finished first in the reel and second for both the jig and slip jig. Erlandson competed in the beginner U-8 division and finished third in the reel on behalf of WDA.
