Westbrook Field Hockey Gains a Tie; Soccer Squads Looking for First Win

Field Hockey

The Westbrook field hockey squad took part in a pair of games last week and came away with a loss and a tie. With these results, the Knights’ record moved to 0-2-1 on the year.

On Oct. 6, Westbrook headed to North Branford to take on the Thunderbirds and lost by a score of 3-0. Three days later, the Knights headed to Deep River to battle the Warriors to a 1-1 tie. Bailey Roberts scored a goal for Westbrook in the draw.

Boys’ Soccer

The Knights came away with a pair of losses in the two games that they played last week. Westbrook’s record dropped to 0-3 on the year after the two defeats.

On Oct. 5, the Knights hosted Valley Regional and took a 2-0 home loss. Three days later, Westbrook headed to Cromwell and lost a 2-0 match to the Panthers.

Girls’ Soccer

The Westbrook girls’ soccer squad took a pair of losses in last week’s action. With the two defeats the Knights’ record dropped to 0-3 on the season.

On Oct. 6, Westbrook lost a 5-0 road contest against Valley Regional. Three days later, the Knights hosted Cromwell and lost a 10-1 match against the Panthers. Freshman Hannah Freund notched the Knights’ only goal of the game.
