Branford U-17 Baseball Wraps Up Summer Season

The Branford U-17 baseball team lost two out of three in a series against Hamden during the final week of its season in the Connecticut Elite Baseball Association. Branford split a doubleheader with Hamden before losing the rubber game of the series to finish with a record of 4-16 on the year.

Branford hosted Hamden for a doubleheader on Aug. 1 and came away with a split of the set. In the first game, Branford blanked Hamden by the final score of 7-0. Hamden came back with an 11-2 victory in the second game of the doubleheader at Branford High School.

The following day, Branford was on the road to face Hamden in the rubber game of the series. Branford took a 6-1 loss to Hamden at Rochford Field in its final game of the season.
