Girls’ Outdoor Track

Grace Hanratty competed in the New England Indoor Track Championships at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Boston Massachusetts on Feb. 29. Hanratty represented Old Saybrook in the 1,000-meter run and came in sixth place with a time of 2:59.03.

Hanratty earned her spot at New Englands with a second-place finish in the 1,000 with a time of 3:01.94 at the State Open Championship.

Earlier in the postseason, Hanratty claimed first place at the Class S State Championship in the 1,000 with a time of 2:59.85, which helped the Rams secure second place as a team at the meet.

Hanratty did not run the 1,000 at the Shoreline Conference Championship meet in lieu of competing in the 600, the 4x400, and the 1,600 sprint medley relay. Her contributions in those events helped propel Old Saybrook to its fourth-straight conference championship.
