Clinton residents Liam Kohler and Zach Tuccitto were recently presented with All-State honors from the Connecticut Soccer Coaches Association (CSCA) for their performances with the boys’ soccer teams at Hamden Hall and Morgan, respectively, during the 2019 fall season. Kohler and Tuccitto received their All-State distinctions during the annual CSCA dinner that was held at the AquaTurf Club on Southington on Jan. 18.

Kohler is a junior at the Hamden Hall Country Day School, where he plays central midfielder for the boys’ soccer squad. Last fall, Kohler led the Hornets with 18 assists, while helping them finished with an overall record of 10-4-3.

Tuccitto, a senior at The Morgan School, is a prolific goal scorer who has been one of the primary seasons behind the boys’ team’s success, having helped the Huskies win three-straight Shoreline Conference titles, as well as the Class S state championship in 2017. In his senior season, Tuccitto set the program’s single-season scoring record by netting 38 goals. This marks the second All-State honor of his career.

Tuccitto is drawing interest from a number of colleges, but is still undecided as to where he will attend next year. In addition to their high school careers, Kohler and Tuccitto have also played playing club and town soccer together alongside many current members of the Morgan squad.
