12/14/2019 11:00 PMThe Branford-North Branford-East Haven (B-NB-EH) girls’ ice hockey squad started off a new season by playing a home game against Hamden last week. The Wings took a 9-3 defeat versus the Green Dragons at Patsy DiLungo Ice Rink in East Haven on Dec. 14.
Jack Norton returns for his sixth season as the Wings’ head coach. East Haven is once again a member of the co-op after having previously been so two seasons ago.
Last year, the Wings finished with an overall record of 9-11-1. The team qualified for the SCC South Division Tournament, where it took a 2-0 loss to Notre Dame-Fairfield in the first round.
