Co-op Swim Squad Sees Relay Compete at the Open

The Old Lyme-Valley Regional-Old Saybrook girls’ swimming and diving team was represented by a relay when the State Open Championship took place at Yale University on Nov. 24. The 400 freestyle relay of freshman Laura Day, junior Helen Day, junior Connie Pan, and sophomore Grace Sweeney recorded a time of 3:45.75 to finish in 22nd place and score six points at the Open. The quartet improved upon their time of 3:45.75 from when they took third place at the Class M State Championship on Nov. 20.
