10/13/2019 12:00 AMThe North Haven baseball team traveled to Norwich to play the Connecticut Hurricanes at Dodd Stadium on Oct. 6. North Haven took a 5-4 defeat against the Hurricanes to move to 3-5-1 on the season.
North Haven and the Hurricanes played a scheduled nine-inning game. With the score tied 3-3, North Haven plated a run in the top of the seventh inning to take a 4-3 lead. However, the Hurricanes rallied for two runs in the bottom half of the frame and then hung on for the 5-4 victory.
Anthony Acampora went 3-for-3 with a walk and two RBI to pace the North Haven offense. Ryan Balzano went 2-for-4 with a walk, a run scored, and an RBI, while Devin Santiago was 2-for-5 with a run and a double. Shaun Murray and Santiago each pitched two scoreless innings of relief for North Haven.
