Guilford Braves Lose in Semifinals of East Shore Playoffs

The Guilford Braves 19-U AAU baseball team competed in the East Shore Travel League Playoffs last week. Guilford posted a victory over the Stratford Spartans in its first game of the tournament, before getting eliminated from the draw with a loss to Connecticut Hank’s Yanks in the semifinal round.

On Aug. 7, the Braves hosted the Stratford Spartans in the quarterfinals of the playoffs and prevailed by a 4-3 score at Guilford High School. The next day, Guilford squared off with Connecticut Hank’s Yanks in the semifinals and dropped a 15-11 decision at the Connecticut Sportsplex in North Branford. Head Coach Ryan Brockett’s team finished its season with an overall record of 6-4.
