Madison Junior Legion Eliminated from States by Hamden

The Madison Junior American Legion baseball team saw its season come to a close when Post 79 took a 10-2 defeat against Hamden in a State Tournament quarterfinal game on July 30. The game took place at Bethel High School as part of the Bethel Regional portion of the State Tournament, in which Madison was the No. 3 seed and Hamden was the No. 2 seed. Madison had advanced to the Bethel Regional by winning three elimination games in the Southern Division Sectional part of th tournament during the previous week. Post 79 finishes with an overall record of 22-10 for the 2019 summer season.
