07/29/2019 12:00 AMThe Clinton Huskies 19-U AAU baseball team played a pair of doubleheaders last week as the regular season winds down. The Huskies added two more wins to their record along with a tie and a loss. With the results the Huskies moved to 11-2-1 on the year.
On July 25, Clinton played a doubleheader against the East Hartford Road Runners at the Indian River Complex and swept the set. In the first game, the Huskies routed the Roadrunners by a score of 16-0. In the second game, Clinton had a more modest 7-1 voctory over East Hartford.
Two days later, the Huskies were baack at the Indian River Complex to face off against Connecticut Hank’s Yanks. The Huskies dropped the first contest by a score of 3-0. In the night cap, Clinton and Hank’s Yanks finished the game with a 2-2 tie.
