Shoreline Reds 10-U Takes East Shore Travel League Title


The Shoreline Reds went 20-2 and claimed the title in the East Shore Travel League this spring. The Shoreline Reds 10-U travel baseball team recently won the championship for the East Shore Travel League’s 2019 spring season. The Reds finished with an overall record of 20-3 on their way to taking the title this year. In the playoff tournament, the Reds earned a 3-1 win over TCB in the quarterfinals, followed by a 16-6 victory versus the Shoreline Breakers in the semifinal round. Later that night, the Reds went up against the first-place Westport Wreckers in the final and prevailed by the score of 7-4 to claim the championship. After winning the title, the Reds finished first place in their division during the Memorial Day Blast Tournament that was held in New Jersey.

The players who led the Shoreline Reds to their successful season are Jay Chacon, Gavin DeFelice, Jake Giacco, Jacob Izaguirre, Finnegan Knowlton, Gennaro Marino, Christopher McKittrick, Will Miller, Carolino Montiero, Gio Ramos, Connor Scott, Eli Showerda, Shawn Swanson, and Dylan Weaver.

The Reds were coached by Head Coach Todd DeFelice, along with assistant coaches Frank Izaguirre, John Knowlton, Bill Miller, and Tim Scott.
