Cougars Lose to Hammerheads in 2-0 Pitchers’ Duel

The Shoreline Cougars 19-U baseball team recent took a narrow defeat in an East Shore AAU Travel League game. With the loss, the Cougars now have a record of 2-2 on the season.

On June 26, Shoreline hosted the TCB Hammerheads at Haddam-Killingworth High School and lost by the final score of 2-0. The Hammerheads scored a run in the top of the first inning and tacked on another run in the top of the sixth inning on their way to the win.

Omar Osorio picked up a base hit in the loss, as did Cody Sanford. Ryan Kehlenbach and Cavan Burrell each had a hit, while Sam Erskine drew a walk. Owen Marica took a hard-luck loss on the mound after pitching four innings and striking out eight batters for Shoreline
