Astros Atop the Standings as Deep River Horseshoe League in Full Swing

There’s a cluster at the top of the standings in the Deep River Horseshoe League as teams continue to vie for first place. The Astros hold tight to a half-game advantage over the Royals at the top of the pack. Meanwhile, the Mets are in third, just a half-game behind second place, and the Reds are a half-game behind the Mets in fourth place.

Leading the A Division players this week was the Yankees’ Mark Goodale, who pitched a score of 140. Kris Toohey of the Pirates took second with a score of 136, while the Astros’ Cris Christensen came in third place by tossing a 135.

The Yankees’ Todd Nuhn stood atop the B Division with a score of 109 this week. The Cody Layton of the White Sox took second place with a score of 102. Dennis Goodrich of the Red Sox notched a score of 100 to come in third place.

As for the C Division, Brian Walsh of the Rangers came in first place with a score of 95. The Orioles’ Tim Johnson threw for a score of 78 to earn second place, and Rob Stack of the Indians took third with a score of 76.

In the league standings, the top-four teams are all separated by a half-game margin. The Astros are in first place with their record of 29-13, and the Royals are in second place at 28.5-13.5. The Mets hold third place with a record of 28-14, while the Reds are in fourth place at a 27.5-14.5. The White Sox are in fifth place with a record of 25.5-16.5.
