On Feb. 8, East Haven High School senior Steve Mingione signed his National Letter of Intent to continue his baseball career at American International College (AIC) in Springfield, Massachusetts. Mingione is set to be a captain for the East Haven baseball team this spring. He posted a .280 batting average to go with one home run and 14 RBI as a junior last spring. AIC is an NCAA Division II school that competes in the Northeast-10 Conference. Like East Haven, the school’s nickname is the Yellowjackets.
