Sweeney Swims for the Rams at the Open

Freshman Grace Sweeney competed on behalf of Old Saybrook at the State Open Girls’ Swimming Championship at Yale University on Nov. 17. Sweeney turned in a time of 1:02.79 in the 100 butterfly to take 24th place in the event and score a point for the Rams at the meet. Sweeney had qualified for the Open by posting a third-place finish in the 100 butterfly with a time of 59.84 at the Class S State Championship, where she also finished 16th in the 50 freestyle with a time of 27.05 seconds.
