The North Haven American Legion Post 76 baseball program was happy to participate in the Veterans Day Project and have an opportunity to give back to some of the men and women who have served in the United States Military. On Nov. 10, athletes from the team went out and helped some local veterans by raking leaves for them as a way to honor their service and commemorate Veterans Day. North Haven’s players were joined by First Selectman Michael J. Freda, State Representative Dave Yaccarino, and Post 76 baseball General Manager Charlie Flanagan. The people who volunteered included Anthony Acampora, Mason Balmer, Alex Bourman, Danny Cannavaciolo, Anthony Cincola, Don Clark, Gianni DiMartino, Robert Farrelly, Hunter Garthwait, Salvatore Giaimo, John Gontarek, Jason Landino, Jason Mazzaro, Dan Meyers, Alex Page, Jack Peruso, Ben Sbabo, Christopher Tobin, Owen Silk, Kevin Vinning, and Cole Zalegowski.
