H-K Girls’ Swimming Ties for 13th in Class S

The Haddam-Killingworth girls’ swimming and diving team finished tied for 13th place with 145 points scored at the Class S State Championship at Wesleyan University on Nov. 14.

The Cougars’ 200 freestyle relay team of Hannah McLeod, Nina Lamb, Jackie Flaherty, and Kiera Bragdon came in sixth place with a time of 1:46.66 in the Class S meet. The 400 freestyle relay of Flaherty, Tara Lamb, McLeod, and Bragdon took 11th place with a 4:06.89. Bragdon finished 13th for the 50 freestyle (26.35) and 15th in the 100 freestyle (59.40) for H-K. Flaherty placed 13th in the 100 butterfly (1:03.84) and finished 19th in the 200 freestyle at 2:08.82. H-K’s 200 medley relay of Grace Purcell, Nina Lamb, Tara Lamb, and Adelaide Hawkins came in 17th place (2:11.23). McLeod finished 22nd in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:12.21.
