Branford Reds Baseball Takes Division Title in East Shore Travel League


The Branford Reds baseball squad claimed its division crown in the East Shore Travel League by defeating the Elm City Eagles 12-8 on Nov. 4. The Branford Reds baseball team recently won the 2018 title for Al Cronk Memorial Fall Division in the East Shore Travel League. The Reds claimed a pair of victories on Nov. 4 to capture the championship. First, they defeated the Connecticut Edge by an 8-3 score in the semifinals behind a complete-game effort on the mound from Finn Knowlton. Later that day, the Reds earned a 12-8 victory against the Elm City Eagles in the championship game to secure the title.

The Branford Reds are coached by Kevin Barbero, Todd DeFelice, Frank Izaguirre, and John Knowlton. The athletes on the team are Kevin Barbero, Gavin DeFelice, Tanner DeFelice, Liam Gallagher, Cooper Knowlton, Finn Knowlton, Jacob Izaguirre, Christopher McKittrick, Carolino Montiero, Gio Ramos, Connor Scott, Peyton Swanson, and Shawn Swanson.
