The Valley Regional field hockey team picked up a 5-1 win against Morgan last week. With the victory, the Warriors boosted their record to 5-1-0-1 on the season.

Valley faced off against at home Morgan on Sept. 28. The Warriors were bolstered by a four-goal performance from Tory Rider, as well as three assists by Annie Cooper in the victory. After Morgan tied the game at 1-1, Valley went up 2-1 just before the end of the first half when Rider scored off assists from Cooper and freshman Abby Amara.

Midway through the second half, Rider netted her third goal of the day on assists from junior Riley Millburne and Cooper to make it 3-1. The Warriors then scored two quick goals within the final minutes of the game. First, Rider picked up an unassisted goal on a breakaway to make it 4-1. Cooper followed by scoring off a corner on assists by Amara and Millburne. Mia Cost made nine saves in goal for Valley.
