Guilford Little League Crowns Majors and AAA Division Champions


The Yankees claimed the Majors Division title in Guilford Little League this year. The Guilford Little League baseball program crowned champions in the Majors and AAA divisions this summer. The Yankees won the Majors title, and the Thunder captured the crown in the AAA Division.

In the Majors Division, the Yankees defeated the Rockies by the final score of 8-0 in the championship game. Isaac Ott-Hill pitched a perfect game with eight strikeouts and went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Yankees to the win. James Paquette and Brandon Rosa also collected two hits apiece for the Yankees. The athletes on the squad included Brandon Rosa, Payton Powell, Oscar Beesley, Alex Vincent, Victor Morris, Sam Frohling, James Paquette, Owen Beesley, Isaac Ott-Hill, and Logan Herbin.

For the AAA Division, the Thunder posted a 4-2 win over the Grizzlies to take the title. Guilford’s roster featured Jackson Gould, David Hogan, Reed Hovick, Noah Loban, Blake Meder, Jordan Lillquist, Ethan Loban, Tyler Mezrich, Alex Riga, Jonah Spivack, Max Steffen, and Will Iafrate.
