North Haven Pride 14-U Softball Wins Central Valley Fastpitch Tourney


The North Haven Pride 14-U travel softball squad won all six of its games in the Central Valley Fastpitch League Tournament to claim the title. The North Haven Pride 14-U travel softball team recently won the championship at the Central Valley Fastpitch League Tournament that was held in Cheshire from July 27 to 29. North Haven finished with a record of 6-0 on the weekend and posted shutouts in five of its six victories. This marked the second tournament victory in past three years for this group of athletes. The players who led the Pride to the title were Juliana DeAngelo, Jylian Esposito, Ava Ferriouolo, Lauren Fitzgerald, Jordan Maenza, Sydney Maenza, Taylor Morris, Anna Schepisi, Olivia Stefanik, Caroline Toni, and Sophie Vauiso. North Haven was coached by Tony DeAngelo, Jim Maenza, Scott Stefanik, and Jeff Toni. Josh Stefanink was the bat boy for the Pride this season. The team’s travel coordinator was Lawrence Morizio.
