Branford 8-U Little League Squad Wins Seabreeze Tournament


Branford’s Little League 8-U coach-pitch squad claimed the title at the Seabreeze Tournament by earning an 11-2 win over Hamden Camo. On July 21, the Branford Little League 8-U coach-pitch team won the championship at the local Seabreeze Tournament. The tournament featured a two-week series of games among teams from many local towns, including Branford, North Branford, Hamden, Orange, North Haven, and Wallingford. Branford and Hamden Camo were the final two teams who played for the championship, and Branford came away with an 11-2 victory. Branford finished with an overall record of 9-1 for the tournament. The athletes on Branford’s team are Silas Comen, Keaton Dunn, Noelle Gallagher, Cooper Knowlton, Chase Konesky, Evan Perez, James Sturges, Thomas Sturges, Peyton Swanson, Joshua Vernon, and Olivia Villa. The team was coached by Head Coach Brian Gallagher, plus assistant coaches Josh Comen, Patrick Dunn, and Shawn Kezik.
