The Daniel Hand High School cheerleading team recently held a cheer skills clinic for kids in grades kindergarten to 8th grade who are interested in learning more about cheerleading. Thirty-five girls participated in the two-day cheer clinic, learning the fundamentals of cheerleading, stunting, and routines, while working with members of the Tigers’ varsity team, as well as Hand’s Head Coach Licia Ciotti and assistant coaches Carla Carusone and Michelle O’Dea. Many of the girls who participated in the clinic are members of the Madison Youth Football and Cheer program. They are looking forward to starting the 2018 cheer season with new skills that they learned from working with the high-school cheerleaders.
