Post 79 Hangs Tough with Southington, Before Beating Guilford

After a dropping a pair of close contests against Zone 3 power Southington, the Madison Senior Legion baseball squad earned a split of a doubleheader versus Guilford last week. Post 79 now has an overall record of 5-12 on the summer.

Post 79 started off its week by taking a 3-2 loss at home against Southington on July 3. Two days later, Madison dropped a 3-0 home decision versus Southington. Post 79 then split a doubleheader at Zone 3 rival Guilford on July 7. Madison lost the first game by a 7-1 final and took the second game by a 7-3 score.
