North Haven Girls’ Tennis Running Four-Week Clinic for Autistic Children


The North Haven High School girls’ tennis team is running a four-week clinic session in which the Indians’ athletes will assist with the teaching of tennis to children who have autism. The clinics will take place at North Haven Health and Racquet Club on Saturdays on July 14, 21, and 28, as well as Aug. 3. The session for kids aged 5 to 10 will take place from 11 a.m. to noon, and the clinic for kids aged 11 to 18 will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Participants will learn different fundamentals of tennis and have an opportunity to increase their social skills through taking turns, working in teams, and following instructions. All equipment, including racquets, will be provided. Participants should wear athletic clothing and sneakers and also bring water. The cost to attend the entire session is $80.
