The Clinton Huskies baseball team continued its summer season in the Greater New Haven Baseball League by earning 6-1 win against the Connecticut Bombers at the Indian River Complex on June 21. With the win, the Huskies’ record stands at 4-2 on the season.

Conor Derry pitched five innings of shutout baseball to get the victory for the Huskies when they defeated the Bombers. John Urban came on in relief and only allowed one unearned run in four innings pitched. The Huskies scored the bulk of their runs in a four-run fourth inning, sparked by a sacrifice bunt by Derry that advanced a few runners on the base paths. Later in the frame, Mike Zingarella dropped down a squeeze bunt to bring home a run. After going up 4-0, the Huskies cruised the rest of the way. AJ Fritz had a pair of hits and drove in a run for Clinton in the victory.
