Christensen Leads the Pack for Week 7 of Deep River Horseshoes


Chris Christensen took top honors in the A Division by tossing a score of 146 during Week 7 play of the Deep River Horseshoe League. Billy Beckwith of the Red Sox totaled the second-best score with 144, and the Mets’ Mark Goodale came in third place with a score of 134.

Pete Perkins of the Dodgers and John Nilson of the Cardinals led the B Division as both players finished with score of 94. Todd Nuhn was next in line by throwing a 93.

In the C Division, Sheryl Serviss of the Pirates took the highest score with a 115. The Cubs’ Tony Cutone tossed a score of 100 to come in second place, while Damin Roberts of the Cardinals threw an 81 on the day.

At the conclusion of Week 7, the Astros remain in first place with their 30.5-11.5 record. The Red Sox are in second at 27.5-14.5. Meanwhile, the Pirates are in third place at 27-15, and the Cardinals sit in fourth place with a mark of 24.5-17.5. The Cubs are in fifth place at 24-18. The rest of the standings are as follows: Rangers (23.5-18.5), Reds (22-20), Marlins (22-20), Tigers (21-21), Braves (20-22), Royals (20-22), Orioles (19.5-22.5), Yankees (19.5-22.5), Dodgers (19.5-22.5), Mets (18-24), White Sox (17-25), Padres (17-25), Angels (16.5-25.5), Giants (15.5-26.5), and Indians (15.5-26.5).
