H-K’s Chrzanowski Takes 8th in CIAC Heptathlon; Breiling Competes in Hammer Throw

Haddam-Killingworth’s Veronica Chrzanowski competed at the two-day CIAC Heptathlon Championship for girls’ outdoor track that took place at Manchester High School on June 12-13. Chrzanowski finished in eighth place overall at the heptathlon by posting a two-day total of 3,257 points.

Chrzanowski came in sixth place for the long jump by reaching a distance of 15 feet-9.5 inches to go with a seventh-place showing in the 200-meter dash behind a time of 27.66 seconds. She acame in 11th place in the 100 hurdles by clocking in at 17.69 seconds. Chrzanowski also placed 15th for the 800 (2:46.28), tied for 17th in the high jump (4-6.25), place 26th in the javelin (57-0), and finished 32nd for the shot put (23-0.5) at the CIAC Heptathlon.

Additionally, Nate Breiling represented the H-K boys’ outdoor track team when he competed in the CIAC Hammer Throw on June 13. Breiling recorded a throw of 96 feet and 2 inches to finish in 16th place in the event.
