Farley Finishes 11th for North Haven at CIAC Decathlon

Junior Robert Farley represented the North Haven boys’ outdoor track team when he competed at the CIAC Decathlon at Manchester High School on June 12 and 13. Farley scored 4,828 points and finished in 11th place out of 49 competitors.

Farley turned in three top-10 finishes among his 10 events at the decathlon. Farley’s best showing came in the 110-meter high hurdles as took sixth place by running a time of 16.63 seconds. Farley also finished eighth in the pole vault with a height of 10 feet to go with an eighth-place showing in the shot put behind a toss of 36 feet-0.25 inches.

Additionally, Farley finished 16th in the 1,500-meter run (5:13.87), 16th for the 400-meter dash (54.99), 18th in the javelin (108-4), and 20th in the discus (76-5) at the decathlon. He also placed 22nd in the 100 (12.19), 22nd in the high jump (5-2.25), and 36th in the long jump (17-2.75).
