Astros Still Atop the Deep River Horseshoe League Standings After Week 6

Division A player Mike DiDomizio of the Orioles led all players by throwing a score of 143 during Week 5 action in the Deep River Horseshoe League. The Mets’ Mark Goodale, also a Division A player, was second with a score of 138. Fellow Division A player, Kris Toohey of the Astros, finished as the third-highest scorer with a 135.

John Nilson of the Cardinals led the B Division with his total of 121. Dennis Allen of the Red Sox grabbed second place with a 118, while Gerry “Skip” Hines of the Cubs earned third with a score of 94.

In the C Division, the Giants’ Gary Beckwith led the way with a score of 91. Tony Cutone of the Cubs took second with 88, while the Braves’ Joe Machado held down third with an 83.

In Week 6 action, the Royals’ Frank Jolly took back the top spot in the A Division with a score of 140. He was followed by Bill Strong of the Padres at 135. The Dodgers’ Chris Christensen came in third with a score of 125.

Allen had the third-highest score of the week and topped the B Division by throwing a 126. The second-highest score in the B tier went to the Tigers’ Don Wilson with a 103. Nilson was next in line with a 101.

As for the C Division, Sheryl Serviss of the Pirates took the highest score at 101, and Cutone came in second with a 93. The Royals’ Warren Bellows took third in the C Division at 88.

At the end of Week 6, the Astros are in first place in the standings with a record of 22.5-10.5. The Red Sox have surged into second at 23.5-12.5, while the Pirates (22-14) are in third. The Cardinals, Rangers and Marlins are all tied for fourth at 21-15. In fifth place are the Cubs at 19.5-16.5.

The rest of the standings are as follows: Tigers (19-17), Orioles (18-18), Reds (18-18), Braves (18-18), Yankees (17.5-18.5), Mets (16-20), Royals (16-20), White Sox (16-20), Indians (15.5-20.5), Giants (14.5-21.5), Dodgers (14.5-21.5), Angels (12.5-23.5), and Padres (11-25).
