Westbrook resident Anna Landino has advanced to the State Finals in the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest. Landino, 9, is competing in the youngest division in the contest, and she will represent Westbrook in the State Finals on Sunday, April 8 at St. Paul Catholic High School in Bristol. Landino, who won the first two rounds at the local and regional levels, will compete against the winners of the other three regions in Connecticut in a best-of-25 free-throw competition.

“We are very proud of Anna as she has taken it upon herself to practice and perfect her skills,” said Kelly Landino, who is Anna’s mother and also the head coach of the Westbrook girls’ basketball team. “She drags us to the YMCA and outdoor courts regularly and works very hard to be good at her passion.”
