H-K Hockey Levels Record at 2-2; Basketball Teams Lose a Few

Boys’ Ice Hockey

The Lyman Hall/H-K/Coginchaug boys’ ice hockey team stands at 2-2 following a pair of recent victories.

The Trojans lost a 5-1 contest to Cheshire on Dec. 19. However, they rebounded by grabbing their first win of the year with an 11-0 victory over Barlow on Dec. 23. Then on Dec. 27, the team posted an 8-0 victory versus Hand to even its record.

Boys’ Basketball

The Haddam-Killingworth boys’ basketball team recently dropped contests against Old Saybrook and Weston.

H-K took a 61-35 loss to Old Saybrook on Dec. 18. Matt Wills led the Cougars with 11 points, while Andrew Kuehn and Darren Hiller each had six points.

The Cougars then took a 65-31 defeat against Weston on Dec. 27.

Girls’ Basketball

The Cougars’ girls’ basketball squad took three defeats in its recent matchups, including a close loss against Old Saybrook.

H-K lost by a 35-32 final versus Old Saybrook on Dec. 19. Two days later, the team dropped a 57-39 contest to East Lyme. Then on Dec. 27, H-K lost to the Sport & Medical Sciences Academy by the score of 60-32.
