Madison’s Lowy Wins USTA Sportsmanship Award

The United States Tennis Association (USTA) New England has selected Madison resident Sebastien Lowy as its 2017 Boys’ 14-and-Under Junior Sportsmanship Award winner. Lowy, along with 30 other award winners, will be recognized at the USTA’s annual awards ceremony to Saturday, Jan. 20 at the Courtyard by Marriott in Marlborough, Mass.

“Our award winners exemplify the very best of tennis in New England,” said Scott Steinberg, the USTA New England president and chief executive officer “Their remarkable efforts on and off the court have been instrumental in continuing to grow the game. We are delighted to have this opportunity to recognize and celebrate their accomplishments.”

The Junior Sportsmanship Award is given annually one boy and one girl in four age divisions (12, 14, 16 and 18) who exemplify outstanding sportsmanship qualities on and off the court and are positive role models to those around them.
