Westbrook Field Hockey Takes 2-1 Overtime Loss to Valley in Shoreline Semis

The Knights’ field hockey squad played a strongly contested game against Valley Regional in the Shoreline Conference Tournament semifinals on Oct. 31, but ultimately took a 2-1 defeat in overtime. The loss puts Westbrook’ record at 8-3-5-1 as the team prepares to compete in this week’s Class S State Tournament.

The Warriors drew the first score of the game, but Westbrook quickly responded with an unassisted goal from Lexi Koplas to even the score at 1-1 prior to the end of regulation. Valley Regional went on to score a goal in overtime to get the win and advance to the championship game.
