The Westbrook hockey team played two games last week, earning a tie and taking a defeat to move to 5-2-4 on the year.

On Oct. 11, the Knights were at home to face Valley Regional and neither team could score on the other, resulting in a 0-0 draw. Westbrook attacked the goal with 10 shots, but Valley’s goalie came up with seven saves. Lauren Horne stood tall in goal for Westbrook, as well, by making nine saves on 12 shots in the shutout.

Then on Oct. 13, the Knights faced off against North Branford on the road and lost 2-0. North Branford grabbed its first goal in the first half and added another in the second half to secure the win.
