Madison 9-10 All-Stars Baseball Squad Makes History with State Title

On July 31, the Madison 9-10 All-Stars Little League baseball team brought home the first Connecticut state championship in the history of Madison Little League by posting a 7-1 win against Trumbull National.

Madison scored five runs in the fourth inning en route to its victory over Trumbull National in the Little League U-10 state championship game at the Kealey Complex in Stafford Springs. With the win, Madison advanced to Northeast Regional in Cranston, Rhode Island as the Connecticut representative at the U-10 level. Madison finished the tournament with record of 11-1 on the strength of some great pitching, solid defense, and outstanding hitting. Madison outscored its opponents by a combined total of 155-44 throughout the District, Sectional, and State tournaments this summer

The athletes on Madison’s roster are Paul Calandrelli, Trevor Cash, Aidan Doyle, Chase Geremia, Christian Kells, Nicholas Maynard, Alexander Modica, Quentin O’Dea, Shailen Pathy, William Patla, Johnny Reh, Charles Wood, and Rocco Zagami. James Maynard is the manager of the squad, while Bryan Geremia and John Reh are also coaches for Madison.
