Ten year-old Guilford resident Andrew Beauton sank a hole-in-one on his way to winning his second junior golf championship at the Pine Orchard Yacht and Country Club in Branford.

Beauton, who will be a 5th grader at Baldwin Middle School this fall, took first place in the 13-and-Older Division by totaling a one-under par score of 35. The highlight of Beauton’s round came on the 164-yard eighth hole, when he made a hole-in-one using a 3 wood. This marked the first hole-in-one by a player at the junior age level at Pine Orchard in 30 years. Beauton also recorded back-to-back eagles as part of victorious effort.
