Huskies Finish Regular Season with 13 Victories

The Clinton Huskies U-18 baseball team closed out the regular season by playing a couple of doubleheaders against the Connecticut Edge at the Indian River Complex in East Shore Travel League action. In the four games, the Huskies won one, lost two, and also played to a tie to finish the regular season with a record of 13-5-2, which was good for fourth place in the league.

On July 23, Clinton squared off with the Edge and split a doubleheader by losing the first game 4-0 and winning the second contest 8-4.

Six days later, the Huskies faced the Edge for another doubleheader. Clinton took a 14-2 defeat in the first game, while the nightcap ended in a 6-6 stalemate.

The East Shore Travel League playoffs begin on Tuesday, August 8 and will run through Friday, August 11.
