Strong Leads the Way During Week 13 of the Deep River Horseshoe League

Bill Strong turned in a performance worthy of his name during Week 13 of the Deep River Horseshoe League by posting a score of 149 to lead all players in the A Division on July 6. Jim Scully finished in second place with a 146, while Vinny Jonynas threw a 137 to take third in the A tier.

For the B division, Mike DiDomizio led the pack with a 125, Kris Toohey took second with a score of 118, and Joe Heery threw a 108 to place third.

Deb Scully and Gary Brainard led the C Division with their total of 98, and Dave Adamiec followed in third place a with 95.

In the team standings, the Braves own a record of 50-28 and are narrowly holding a one-game lead over the Dodgers (49-29) for first place. The Cubs, Pirates, and Padres are tied for third place at 43-35. The rest of the league’s standings are as follows: Red Sox (42.5-35.5), Marlins (41.5-36.5), Mets (39-39), Giants (38.5-39.5), Astros (38.5-39.5), Yankees (38-40), Rangers (36.5-41.5), Cardinals (36-42), Indians (36-42), Royals (35.5-42.5), Reds (35-43), White Sox (35-43), Angels (34.5-43.5), Tigers (34-44), and Orioles (31.5-46.5).

The Deep River Horseshoe League has 20 teams that feature three players of each of the A, B, and C divisions. The league plays every Thursday night on the First Congregational Green in Deep River and welcomes anyone to come watch its contests. For info, visit deepriverhorseshoes.com.
