Madison Little League to Host District Tourney, Needs Volunteers

For the first time in many years, Madison is hosting the 12-and-under Little League Baseball District Tournament this summer. Teams from Madison, Haddam, Killingworth, and Old Saybrook are participatng in the tournament, which will take place at Jaycee Fields Scotland Road on Saturday, July 1 (starting at 11 a.m.); Sunday, July 2 (11 a.m.); Wednesday, July 5 (5:30 p.m.); Friday, July 7 (5:30 p.m.); and Tuesday, July 11 (5:30 p.m.).

Madison Little League (MLL) needs volunteers to help make this event a success. The MLL is looking for two bookkeepers to volunteer at the tournament, as well as two game announcers, two pitch counters, one singer or musician for the performance of the national anthem, three concession stand helpers, and two grill masters to serve each player a hot dog after the game.
