06/17/2017 12:00 AMSofia Migani and Julia Hyman represented the Guilford girls’ outdoor track team at the CIAC Heptathlon at Willow Brook Park in New Britain on June 13 and 14.
For the heptathlon, Migani finished in 38th place with 1,666 points for the competition, while Julia Hyman tallied 1,084 points to come in 58th place overall. Migani also finished in 20th place for the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.56 seconds, took 32nd place in the shot put with a throw of 23 feet-7.25 inches, and was 38th in the high jump at 4-2.25. Hyman placed 42nd in the 100 hurdles behind a mark of 19.51 seconds, was 46th in the shot put at 21-10.75, and finished 47th in the 200 at 30.83.
Also for Guilford, Meredith Bloss, Ellie Wiesler, and Jacqui Guerra qualified for the 2,000-meter Steeplechase.
