North Haven High School senior Jack Steinman was recently honored for scoring his 1,000th career point as a member of the North Haven boys’ basketball team this past winter. Steinman was recognized for his achievement during a ceremony at the high school on April 27.

Steinman reached his milestone when the Indians recorded a 64-52 victory against East Haven on Feb. 20. He finished his basketball career with 1,033 points. Steinman was ultimately named the Indians’ Most Valuable Player and was an All-SCC Second Team selection.

Steinman captained North Haven’s football and basketball teams as a senior and is currently reprising that role with the boys’ tennis squad this spring.
